16-19 Tuition Fund

The 16 to 19 tuition fund is ring fenced funding for schools, colleges and all other 16 to 19 providers to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19). The 16 to 19 tuition fund was first provided for the 2020 to 2021 academic year and is now being extended for a further two years into the 2023 to 2024 academic year.

This funding is being used at Thurrock Adult Community College to support extra small group tuition for young people aged 16 to 19 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and for those aged 19 to 24 who have an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan on the Managing the Transition to Adulthood study program, to help them catch-up with the learning lost during 2019 - 2020.
