Go Back A Step
While studying at Thurrock Adult Community College, there may be times when you need a little extra support. We understand this and our class tutors work closely with our college staff and volunteers to make all reasonable adjustments that will help you gain the most from your learning experience and achieving your individual goals.
If you have a disability, learning difficulty or long-term health condition, please let us know about it before the start of your course, ideally at enrolment. We can then take the necessary steps, based on your individual needs. We can liaise with advocates, carers and external agencies to ensure that any support given is appropriate plus any information you give us will be treated as strictly confidential and will only be passed to others with prior written consent.
Our friendly Learner Development and Progression Adviser will be available on selected days to discuss your next step and help signpost you to courses and organisations, so you will achieve your goals. We provide drop in surgeries, where learners can get tailored advice with CVs and employment/career progression.
As part of TACC’s commitment to improve the digital skills of all staff and learners at the college, look out for details of free sessions where you can drop-in to brush up your skills.
