NHS Drop-in session – Thursday 25th April 2024 The Anchor Programme was created by the NHS to show how local hospitals can make their neighbourhoods healthier, happier and greener 28th June 2024 College Notices Share This Story: Other Copied Last week, Thursday 25th April, we welcomed Stacey from the NHS Anchor Programme into the college. The Anchor Programme was created by the NHS to show how local hospitals can make their neighbourhoods healthier, happier and greener. By teaming up with health and care partners, local councils and the voluntary and education sector, in Basildon, Southend and Chelmsford, the NHS can reduce their environmental impact and create exciting and innovative employment, volunteering, internship and network opportunities for all. Our learners were able to find out about job opportunities within the NHS and learn more about the application process. Several of our learners who attended have followed up on the opportunity and have now applied for careers in the NHS. If you are an employer local to Thurrock and would like to speak to our learners about opportunities in your organisation, provide information about your sector or share your career journey please get in touch.
