Leadership Team

Keeley Donati

Principal

Keeley started at the college in November 2021 and has been Principal since last year. She has worked in adult education since 2004, after enrolling as a learner on a computer course and then training as an ESOL tutor. She is passionate about supporting Thurrock’s residents to improve their well-being and providing learning opportunities to enable residents to upskill and take advantage of the numerous job vacancies in the local area now and in the years to come.

Fay Stone

Vice Principal

Fay is our Vice Principal and has worked in adult education for over 16 years. She is responsible for leading curriculum planning, ensuring quality of provision and assisting the principal in the smooth running of the college. Fay is passionate about adult learning and is keen to support individuals with their learning journey.

Matthew Uphill

Business Operations Manager

Matthew has worked in adult education for 20 years and started as an enrollment assistant at an adult college in Southend. He is responsible for the college budget, data protection and health & safety, as well as having overall leadership and responsibility for; learner experience, IT & Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Advice & Guidance (IAG), premises, finance, HR and learning support on an interim basis. Matthew led the college's move into our current home at the Old Courthouse. He supports the principal in the smooth running of the college and ensures an excellent learner experience.

Learner Experience (LET) Team

Jo Ellery, Marion Kemp, Nicola Fincken & Hayley Lawrence

The Learner Experience Team (LET) are our front-facing staff at the college and will be the first people you meet when you arrive at TACC. They always give a warm and friendly welcome, and provide information and support from the start and throughout your learning journey with us.

Programme Managers

Fay Stone

Programme Manager: Maths

Fay is our Programme Manager for Maths, as well as our assistant principal. Fay has worked in adult education for over 16 years. She is responsible for leading curriculum planning, ensuring quality of provision and assisting the principal in the smooth running of the college. Fay is passionate about adult learning and is keen to support individuals with their learning journey.

Belinda England (Bel)

Programme Manager: Vocational Area & Family Learning

Together Nicky and Bel are our Programme Managers for the vocational curriculum. Bel has also recently taken on the Family Learning curriculum. Bel began her career at the college in 1995 as a Creche supervisor. In 2005, she transitioned to an assessor role in the childcare department, supporting a tutor and honing her teaching skills. By 2015, she became a tutor focused on employability and childcare. Now a Vocational Curriculum Manager, Bel is passionate about her learners, helping students gain confidence and skills for their future careers.

Nicola Chapman (Nicky)

Programme Manager: Vocational Area & Learning in The Community

Together Nicky and Bel are our Programme Managers for the vocational curriculum. Nicky has also recently taken on the Learning in The Community curriculum. Nicky's journey with the college began in 2007 as a volunteer, gradually transitioning through various roles from administration to tutoring English and employability. She has a passion for empowering learners by helping them develop their skills confidence, and self-esteem, which has led Nicky to become a curriculum manager. Focusing predominantly on Vocational skills courses that are tailored to enhance employability, she paves the way for brighter futures in the workforce.

Business Development & Marketing

Julia Walker & Chloe Powers

The business development and marketing team can often be seen out and about at events around the borough. The team are responsible for promoting the college and the courses we offer through our social media channels, local advertising, flyers and brochures as well as at events such as the Orsett Show. As well as building relationships with local businesses and community groups to increase collaborative working and mutually beneficial opportunities for the residents of Thurrock.
