Study With Us

Supporting Thurrock’s residents to develop new skills and fulfil their potential

We are passionate about supporting Thurrock’s residents to develop new skills that will help them fulfil their potential and achieve their ambitions whether they be career-related or personal.

If you’ve not studied with us before, don’t be nervous – our class sizes are small at around 12-14 people. You will be in a class with other adults with similar skill levels to yourself and our friendly, experienced tutors will ensure you receive all the support you need.

We want as many local people as possible to take advantage of the many job opportunities coming to Thurrock now and over the coming years.

Our Curriculum

Our mission is to make an impact on the communities where we live and work. We will: 

  • Addresses low skills
  • Supports people to enter employment in sectors where there are jobs
  • Supports people to retrain or upskill and move out of insecure employment 
  • Reduces digital disadvantage by working across the council to provide skills development, access to equipment and connectivity 
  • Supports the wellbeing and mental health of residents through access to learning in the community 
  • Reduces social isolation through access to learning within communities
